About Public Affairs

The office of Public Affairs resides in the University Relations department. Its main purpose is to serve the President's Office by interacting with Church officials.

The office of Public Affairs had its beginnings in 1976. It was created to support the president's office by interfacing with officials of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and organizing and implementing high-level events. Today, it also oversees the Shelley Visitors Center. Further information is available by calling (801) 422-4679.
